Twittelator is FAR superior to Twitterific. Less BS and more efficient. Perfect for me.
I also like Epocrates, AirMe, Epocrates, NYT and Bank Of America (only if you have a BoA account).

It doesn't really have bluetooth. Can't use it for anything other than audio headsets. And even then not stereo.

I like Stanza - it is a ebook reader with a downloader for downloading books from Feedbooks.

Btw, Evert the iPhone 3G has Bluetooth. See http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html

careful with that recharger. Some of the sleeve models don't fit the 3G (as it's wider and deeper). I went for a slighly more awkward Kensington model

I also use Byline (for reading my Google Reader account) and VNC (for, you know, VNC)

You know what, I would love to like the iphone. However I am reluctant to go out and buy one (the ridiculous contract rates being my main objection). I have an N95 and HTC Touch and would really need to use an iphone for a couple of weeks to make a good judgement/comparison. Maybe I should find a few people in the same situation and chip in together to allow us to each try the iphone for a few weeks...
The interface & apps sound great to me but it is reeally the lack of BT, MMS and the low-res camera that holds me back...
