A new start

Its been a while since I start this on-line presence and following some free advice from Eoghan McCabe at Christmas regarding a fragmented on-line presence I decided to change everything to Pat Phelan, Twitter, Jaiku and now this blog have been upgraded.
I am delighted with the result, Sabrina Dent does really nice work and has been in constant communication throught out the project.
We have a little bit to go and I am kind of sorry to see Roam4free fade away but its a new beginning.
Wish me luck :-)

The new blog looks great. Love the “subverting” tagline.

Looks great – strong grid, nice choice of typography, sweet header image – well done to all involved. Looking forward to reading your posts.

Bug alert: Right col (starting from Twitter heading) appears below the comments form when posting a comment in Safari on Mac – I’m guessing a closing div tag is missing but it should be easy to fix.

Pat, your new home is beautiful. I’m now lusting after Sabrina (er, her work, I mean. Obviously. Yep.).

Sweet and tasty look that enhances the essence of minimalism. I should learn from your design.

Very nice site design. Good and clear. Note: Flickr seems to be on the blink in your side bar. Note: how could you switch domains etc. and not loose all tha google juice?

Sabrina looked after all the Google juice stuff etc so I’m not sure, maybe she can explain?

Wow, fantastic. Good luck Pat… I did something similar 9 months ago when I moved to http://www.lucafiligheddu.com. Did you manage to keep your pagerank ?
    Ciao

Great to see you back and all the confusion cleared-up, Pat! Now back to 4 posts a day and you’ll be laughing.

That looks amazing Pat – I miss the Charlies Angels strike a pose pic from the 3 boys though.

    Hey Paul -

The old site exists but is re-directing requests to the new site using 301 re-direct headers, which basically say “Oh hai, Google. That page has permanently moved to this other address; please follow and re-index it.”

Because the old site has its page rank and all incoming links intact, Google, on its next visit, should remap the old site and its mojo to the new one – although how long that takes is something we have no control over.

    – Sabrina (sorry, didn’t realise I was logged in here)

Nice one, Pat! Looks like a fantastic looking site. I need someone to give my pathetic excuse of a site a makeover.. ;)
