Add a Samsung X360 to your Christmas list

samsung x360
I had a chance to give the new Samsung X360 a test drive earlier in the week and let me tell you it totally rocks.
Engadget reviewed it here but I can guarantee you this will give the Thinkpad X300 or the Air more than a good run for its money.

Gizmodo also have a video review here and I totally agree on the black piano finish but for me the winner was the screen, this is probably the clearest most vibrant screen that I have seen.

First impression of the device is its solidness, I have always come away from the Mac Book Air feeling as if I have damaged it, this is a solid machine but still weighs less than the air, unfortunately the test model had vista but I am sure this can be remedied with a wipe and install of XP Pro. Battery life is estimated at 7-10hrs
Specs are huge and I am sure this will fly out the doors over Christmas.

Had a quick look a that when visiting Samsung a while ago. I loved the shiny black finish – lust-worthy!

At €1,400 its a bit pricey n’est pas? I mean, laptop that does pretty much all you need would be circa €600, so are you paying for the lightness ? (yes, I am this thick?)

    From the press release:

And with security at a premium, it even has a secure biometric fingerprint and trusted platform module authentication system to ensure that your data is always fully protected.

No, thank you, I don’t want TPM chips on a computer.

Pat, wasn’t you against TPM a while ago? (I apologize if I’m wrong)
