Blue Ant Headset

I have been a huge fan of Jawbone but my last one broke with the earpiece coming away from the body of the device and the vendor where I bought it saying “warranty over, tough” basically so I decided to try another manufacturer.
I did some research and decided to go for the Blue Ant V1.
It arrived this week and I have been testing for a few days, the Blue Ant people make a play of the voice recognition quality but the most important feature for me has been weight and comfortability, it practically floats in my ear.
The voice quality is excellent and the voice dialing really works well.
It gets my vote and whilst being a little expensive is worth the extra.

I am surprised you like the voice control stuff. That usually drives me crazy, especially when it reads back the number it is calling. I am going to still stick with the Jawbone for now but thanks for the review,

looks neat, I still cant pull myself away from the corded ones – they look & feel so much better. That said the latest headset with the Blackberry bold is odd – very like the shure headset.. Ill stick to the iPhone corded headset on my BB for now.

According to the video, this headset doesn’t focus on noise canceling as the jawbone does – sure, blueAnt has it but the key technology is the voice control – basically the headset gets your phonebook, call list and so from the phone over bluetooth and then decodes t with voice.
But that’s not good for the majority of people who don’t have English as primary language..

can you please describe more about the noise canceling of the blueant compared to the jawbone’s?

I have tried two of these headsets. The V1 and the z9i.
They both have the same problem. After a little use, (2-3 hours) you will start to sound like you are in a drum. To the point no one can understand you. Neither one worked right after the second day.
