BumpTop

My BumpTop invite came today after a long anticipated wait, its incredibly cool. The ability to create notes and to pin notes or documents on the side wall is a great help to a forgetful guy like myself.
Its really quite similar to Microsoft surface without the touch screen. Founder Anand Agarawala gave one of the most entertaining talks at TED last year. I have played with it for a bit this evening and find it slightly confusing but a lot of fun.
David Pogue gave it a cool reception recently but I like it and will leave it run for a few days to see how it goes.

Looks cool – but is it just for windows?

Wow, that’s great. What platforms will this run on? I’m guessing Windows and Mac, hopefully? I just signed up to beta test when they start sending out more invites.

Got a beta 17 version, lovely to look at and use, but it isn’t half slow to load!!

Got an update to beta 18. It is still v slow to load and the icons are very overlapped. I realise that it is intended to tidy your desktop but that isn’t easy, it ‘threatens’ to remove them all if you say you want the icons piled up…..worrying
