Call me on Twitter with Jajah’s @call

A few companies have tried this but I think Jajah has got it right.
JAJAH@Call
Call your twitter friends with a simple @
Firstly you have to follow @call

“To make a call simply send a tweet with “@call @username” where the “username” is the Twitter name of the person you wish to call. @calls are made without revealing your number and without needing to know the number of the person you wish to call all you need is their Twitter username”
I can really see this being huge and its great to see genuine innovation out of the jajah guys.
So I am @call @patphelan
There are a couple of limitations
1. USA only (I have a workaround so its fine)
2. 2 minute call length.
I would love to see Jajah expand this internationally and obviously the easiest way is the reciever of the call agrees to pay for all calls.

Hi Pat, I like your enthusiasm for making Twitter calls however I don’t think @call will be a winner. Too many hoops / friction to go through. For most easier just to DM a number to a follower which also sets context. I wrote a post that compared @call vs Phweet. Cheers Stuart

Amazing new feature for twitter, short voice call through Jajah shows that social media is now adding VoIP. Nimbuzz and fring has IM service where Truphone and Vopium should think in different lines.

Looks like Jaja’s Twitter @call account has been suspended. Possibly just a blip on Twitter. A shame as I wanted to test this out, seems a good idea. Easier to remember than phone numbers. Could also make conference calls easier e.g. @call @patphelan @cowen @obama
