Quite – but you should also be entitled to value for money and food provides nourishment as opposed to salmonella..

To each their own – I don’t mean to judge, belittle or antagonise – but if they aren’t told their food is unacceptable they aren’t likely to change as long as the bottom line is good.

@Mr .T food is good in il Padrino if overpriced especially for Sunday Lunch, what I don’t like is being served by a bunch of pre-perostrika Georgians with grumpy mutts.

Oh no! We’re regulars at the Dublin restaurant and were planning a visit over the weekend to the Corkonian variation.

Will give it a wide berth now – any other suggestions for somewhere nice in Cork City??

Did you complain to the staff or manager or just do the typical Irish thing and complain to the everybody after you had left the place?

If you didn’t complain, you essentially paid just shy of €100 to not be fed. I’d happily not feed you for half that if you want to swing by my place sometime P

That’s outrageous though – Irish people need to complain more. About everything!

I love Captain America’s in Dublin, never had a bad experience there. Well, except for that time I ordered tap water. But that was my own fault.

The Bosun, Monkstown
Mount Oval Bar, Rochestown

Tried, tested and approved by the Peavoy quality control inspectors…..

Everything in Captain America’s ranges from the average to the terrible. Eddie Rocket’s across the street is fairly good for a burger, if a tad overpriced.
