Carboardfish release SMS blog toolkit

CardBoardFish a specialist in low cost text messaging, today launches Webmaster SMS Tools, a free suite of SMS applications for websites, social networking profiles, blogs and more.
This suite from the company allows Bloggers to
* Add SMS tools to your site for FREE
* Does NOT use premium rate SMS
* Mobile numbers are kept private, they are NOT marketed to or passed to 3rd parties
* Customise colour, style and size
* Perfect for webmasters, bloggers and users of eBay, Facebook, MySpace and Bebo

The following tools are available today at launch, for free, following a simple registration at their site
TextMe – Receive text messages from visitors to your page or auction and send replies without disclosing your mobile number.
SMSBlog – Update a space on your page remotely using short text messages. Keep your visitors updated, wherever you are.
SMSPoll – Easy polls, where your visitors vote by text message, with up to 26 options.
SMSComments – Add a comments space on your page or at the end of an article, allowing your visitors to submit short comments via text. This SMS-based comments tool is far less prone to SPAM than purely web-based equivalents.

Excellent idea and with roam4free blog moving soon to a new url may be a good idea to start off with.

Looks like a great set of tools, but with no marketing and no Premium SMS, where do they make their money?

Limits per day/week/month pay to remove them?
    or
Just building a customer base in the hopes that they will move on to paid for products>

this looks like a great service; but it still lacks what i consider the ‘killer app’ related to SMS. that is just a simple service that can provide a unique phone that can be given out and used to receive SMS either via email or forwarded to a cell phone. what is important that is not offered by any current service that i am aware is that it include a unique number so that there is no ‘header’ needed in the message for routing. i would like to be able to insert my number anytime i signup for a web based service that asks for my cell phone number in place of using my real number and than receive any message that are sent. increasingly SMS is being used when signing up for web services in place of email for identity verification, etc. i personally am just not that comfortable with my cell number being in all types of databases that may be used for marketing, etc. i have alternate email and alternate voice phone numbers that are easily changed, replaced, forwarded etc. i want SMS numbers that work the same way or better yet are the same as my VOIP numbers. i am actually quite surprised that this is not yet a standard part of most commercial VOIP services.

    Hi,
Related to this service, but done differently and we think cooler:
We just released a free SMS blogging service this week.
    Check it out on Glimt.com
    http://www.glimt.com

    To SPG,
Phone numbers are regulated an in short supply.
I have been looking into this from Norway and the U.K.
Every number would cost you a few dollars per year, you would need to make that back somehow.
I agree its a good service.
One could perhaps work with a small country like Tuvau (the .tv domain) and buy a few million phone numbers from them, worth looking into.
