I was looking forward to Donal MacIntyre‘s new series of investigative journalism and have to say, what an incredible waste of an hour
Whats gone wrong here?
Tonight’s journey through Naples was a scream. I think the most dangerous thing he did in this episode was a journey through Naples without a motorbike helmet.
The low point tonight was a segment on fake handbags.
Fake accents, designer sunglasses, leather jackets and pose’s, no that wasn’t Naples that was Donal.
Its really disappointing considering the guy has done amazing work in the past.
Last weeks episode on Sofia was no better, I have had closer shaves on a business trip there and the least said about the Liverpool episode the better.
Bring back the real MacIntyre, PLEASE

I read recently (tribune I think) that he’s planning an outing to Limerick having already been in Dublin!
No the best thing about Donal now is that he is now appearing on ITV’s Dancing on Ice. Hardly Ireland’s answer to Ross Kemp!! I wonder what the hardened crims think about that. When he did his undercover stuff he was worth watching. not now!!

I did like the show. I live in this dump called Naples. I’ve seen first hand how this sh*thole is. I glad he had the balls to report about it. Like Roberto Savaino did. This place sucks. And the worst part is…..the American government is paying, at minimum $2000 per military person, to live in these illegally built houses and continue to fund the Camorra. There are at least 2000 military, maybe more, living in Naples. This Sh*t mafia even has people working on an American military base!!! And the US government does nothing about it!!
The Limerick programme was on last night.
The usual generic footage of a run-down estate and a few urchins paid by MacIntyre to jump on a burnt-out car. A horse. Sinister music. A voice-over repeating the Independent’s “murder capital of Europe” slur, at 7 per 100,000.
Lazy, incompetent, sensationalist journalism. Very poor.
If these are his standards, everything else MacIntyre has done is in doubt.
