Eircom wins fourth 3G licence

Well the biggest non event in Irish telecoms is now out of the hat. Eircom has won the race ( 1 and only Horse) to acquire Ireland’s fourth 3G licence.
I wrote about this a few times last year and I think my predictions went something like this
Eircom to increase retail rates (done)
Close their one credible opposition (done)
Win the 3G license (done)

All I am short now is Meteor to be spun off as an independent company and we might see the only quad play to hit Irish telecoms.
