I have just got my magicjack on Tues thgis week and I liked it til today, can not here anything and it is ring at the phone I call, plus no live person to help with isues.

I live in ALABAMA and you do not have any area codes for that state. I had to go to TENN ( 615) for an area code. Will AL being getting its (205, 256, 334,) area codes?

99% posting here are asking questions that are already answered on the MJ site. It seems that the negative comments are coming from those who either have no exposure to the MJ or really don’t know what you are talking about. I see comments asking what will happen 3 years from now. Who cares. If the product works for only 1 month you are making out better than you you would with most providers. I have one and have had no problems. It works exactly as advertised. If you want to know the real answers invest the $40 dollars and find out for youself.
Bye the way I am an electronics engineer and have no vested interest in this device. But I can say it is well built,not a scam and everyone it’s not the end of the world if you were to loose $40. Don’t be so paranoid. It works…

99% of the questions and comments posted here are covered by the info on their web site. Those who are so critical don’t really seem to know what they are talking about. Some are worring about what will happen 3 years from now.
People, read the info already given by the site. If your MJ worked for only 1 month you would still come out ahead of what is being offered by most other providers.
Most who are making negitive comments don’t even have the system.
Don’t post unless you know what you are talking about or before knowing anything about this item.
I have nothing to gain by endorsing this product but it works as advertised.

I just placed my order. I now have concerns especially that you never talk to a real person. Phone numbers are not readily available for you to talk to a real person. And they want you to lock in a 2nd year at 19.95 only after they get your credit card number. That’s not the way to secure new business. Has anyone had this service over 2 years? What is the actual rate? Why all the secrets?

Wow! thank God for MagicJack I live in Haiti will it work here? if so how one become a sales rep or affiliate?
Our family is separated one side in the States & the other in Haiti.
Please answer soon so many freinds & co-workers are in the same position this will help much. Keep up the good work.

i too am concerned about not being able to transfer my present vonage number to majicjack,,,but if it can be done,,,ill go with a wireless card and this service in a heartbeat,,,but it can be only a secondary phone until then,,,,hurry up with new area codes

I HAVE TO SAY I LOVE IT SO FAR.
BUT IT DONT GIVE ME MY LOCAL AREA CODES FOR MY AREA IT HAS JUST A SMALL AMOUNT OF AREAS THAT IT WILL GIVE YOU,
SO I HAVE TO USE AN AREA CODE FOR OUT OF MY AREA. BUT SO FAR ITS OKAY.

Greetings everybody,

I was burned by SunRocket, (Pardon the pun), but I still have faith in what the emerging field of VOIP offers. I live in the United States, in the State of Minnesota, and I have DSL and local phone service through the same communications company, Qwest. When I signed up with SunRocket, I never considered the fact that when the phone service is disconnected, that the DSL is also disconnected. So with no phone service and no internet, that means no SunRocket. For a few weeks, until we got re-situated back with Qwest, I had to use our cell phone for much more than we normally do, along with pay phones and our relatives phones. For cable and satellite customers, using an Internet Phone Service, or VOIP, isn’t any problem because the phone number isn’t tied in with it like it is with DSL. SunRocket did a terrible job of not explaining to DSL subscribers about “naked”, “stand alone”, or “dry loop” DSL options, which would have prevented that nightmare that I was suffering through for several weeks. Quite frankly, I can see why SunRocket went belly-up. Thank you very much for spending some of your time in reading this message. Good bye.
