Get your kit off in Cork and Dublin

Well here is one to separate the men from the boys, literally.
Artist Spencer Tunick is doing a few of his installation in Cork and Dublin.

Wonder if this might draw out any of the Web 2.0 crowd or even a few open coffee peeps.

Seems pretty straightforward :-)

“Approximately what length of time will I be naked?
You will only be nude for a few intervals within hours that the art event takes place. Most of the time nude is used getting everyone into position. Once everyone is in place, Spencer will work as quickly as possible to document the installation.

How much privacy will there be?
This installation is for participants only. The area that the installation will be taking place will be closed off from the public. Only people who are working on the installation an participating will be allowed into the installation area.

What provision will there be for the safety of clothes/belongings?
There will always be staff members and security personnel watching over your belongings. But just to make sure you don’t lose anything, please do not bring valuables if you don’t have to. Please leave them at home, in your car or at your hotel.

What will happen if it’s raining or very cold weather?
The installation will happen rain or shine. The installation will happen if the weather is cold, but the artist will work as quick as possible to make his art.”

The only question that remains is: How do we tweet about it if we can’t have our mobiles on us during the shoot? :(

Tweeting should be the last thing on your mind

That would make it a very open coffee. Can I bring a cup. Actually I’d probably be volunteering for the festival anyway.

Tunick did a photo shoot a couple of years ago in Bruges (Brugge-Belgium). I was amazed at the number of people that turned up … not necessarily naked ;-)

I’m registered …and my two house mates…..and I’m concerned that if I do actually have the balls (pun intended?!) to getting my kit off on the day, how great I’ll feel about being so brave, but…..what comes next? How can you top being nude in a public place with (hopefully) hundreds of people?….. I think I’ll end up a part-time streaker and I’m already considering the ashes next year in the UK?!!
