Giving up smoking is hard
Its a busy time with Cubic, switches and phones arriving Tuesday, Huge crowds expected in from overseas all next week. In the middle of all this lies no smoking like the elephant in the room you don’t talk about.
As everyone who has read the blog for a while knows I am a recovering alcoholic ( 7 years but who is counting) but let me tell you this lack of nicotine is hard hard hard.
Today was fucking almost impossible but I got through it.
I am just back from a session of acupuncture and am now more determined than ever. To my wife , kids, business partners and staff, sorry for being a royal pain in the ass.
Normal service will resume soon, I promise
good luck – keep up the good work – although I haven’t done it, my wife has – it’ll get easier soon, but never totally goes away.
Sounds great on cubic, but are you busy with Roam4 free – I can’t wait?

Don’t know if this helps, but the actual physical addiction is over after 14 days. After that, it’s the habit that’s the thing to overcome.
Pat,
One thing that I have experienced is that after the first few months of the smokes it is actually better to just have one cigarette when you really, really want one than to be all stressed out about not wanting to smoke.
Over the last 3 years I smoke on averag 1-2 ciggies per month and have no problem staying off them for the rest of the time…

For when You Can’t Smoke, Don’t want to smoke, or Shouldn’t smoke, well next time your in the U.S. pick up some http://www.niclite.com , patiently waiting to launch here. Good luck with the cold turkey in the mean time
