Happy Christmas, win a Nokia E63
To celebrate Christmas this year I have sent out the begging bowl to a numbers of friends in the industry and have come up with a bunch of goodies, I am going to give stuff away most days.
Today its the fantastic Nokia E63

There are lots of reviews around but I love it, this phone is not even released everywhere yet and is valued around €400, its completely unlocked and will work on any network.
So what do I want?
Nothing, Nada, just leave a comment and I will have an independent friend run all comments through a randomizer, one the commentors will get the phone.
The winner is Niall Harbison of ifoods.tv
Comments are now closed. enjoy Niall
Please though if you have a bunch of phones hanging around why not donate them to the Jack & Jill foundation, they do amazing work and everyone has a bunch of old phones somewhere.

Nice idea and a good way to plug the Jack and Jill phone appeal. We’re sending them all the old phones we had in the office (packet is sitting on desk in office!)
Michele
Wonderful idea Pat, at the very least because i will now be able to ditch the terrible n95 8gb keypad for a proper one!
Free phones are awesome!
What a great service! Old phones coming your way. I love the graphics too. Keypads in their tummies… very cute.
Yes, great idea Pat!
J&J often have prepaid plastic envelopes in the Sunday papers too, to make it even easier to return and recycle your old handsets …
Merry Christmas, Pat!
I’ll gladly donate my k800i (and my backup phone) if I win this! Bloody O2 won’t offer anything like this as an upgrade, help me out of the dark ages here Pat!
The Christmas spirit lives on
Excellent Idea Pat-How kind of you!
Great idea.. I have a veritable mobile phone grave yard of clapped out Nokias and the likes..
I’ll gather and dispatch asap..
Eoin
Caught this on Twitter. Great idea, big Nokia fan.
Merry Xmas Santa Pat !
Best,
Frederic
Great competition Pat!
Great idea, and it’s reminded me I’ve definitely got at least a couple of old phones laying around…so old I suspect they’d raise a good price on the Antiques Roadshow – will have to check out if there’s an age-limit on donations!
Great idea! If I win J & J will get current Nokia
I sent 3 handsets to the J&J the week before last. If my name’s pulled out of this draw they’ll be getting number 4 from me.
free is good
Merry Christmas! And thanks!
Throwing my hat into the ring!
Happy Christmas Pat! Gave about 6 phone from our office to Jack & Jill earlier in the year, you’ve reminded me that we should do it again.
PS. Would love an E63
What ever happened to “… and there’s one for everybody in the audience”
Great way to plug this! My school tied it into recycling week and we collected over 400 phones!
Pat – Merry Christmas to you and yours. Hope your travel have been great. No need to put me in the draw… have no need for the phone just wanted to wish you well. ~Gerald
As usual your sack is the best1

)
Hi Pat, I came here via @1938media’s twitter stream. Great competition and a super prize. I’ve added your blog’s RSS to my feedreader. Thanks for doing this.
Regards Andrew.
Thanks Santa!
I would love to win this too PAT The SANTA.
And yeah Great foundation. Never knew something like this existed. We need stuff like that in India too.
And yeah I keep thanking you in my blog for making me aware of so many things I never knew about & I love most of them (Bumptop, Dial2do, Maxroam). Great to follow U on friendfeed, twitter and other services.
Happy Christmas all!
My lovely wife struggles to be productive when out and about with her Series 40 Nokia 6233. I’m sure she’d be thrilled to hand it over to J&J if she could have a Series 60 device
Does this make you Santa 2.0 ?
Will the randomizer hurt? I’d love to win a phone as I’ve never had one.

Count me in for the new phone and I think it’s a great idea for the old phones no longer used. I have one that I’ve been hanging onto while I find the right way to pass it along.

Happy Giftmas! Hooray for randomizers!
Hi Pat,
Love the giveaway idea.
The phone recycling foundation is an even better one. As much as I enjoy testing new wireless devices, there’s no need to destroy the earth to satisfy my need to communicate in new and innovative ways.
Keep up the good work!

Kevin Restivo

Awesome idea! I love it.
I so need a new phone. I’m dreadfully tired of metallic hot pink. (someone might like it though).
Damn Pat, you know how to run a blog competition. I could use a fully functioning phone!
Cheers,
Sean
Great idea, Santa Pat. I heard about this from @1938media.
I would kill to have a E63.
Well, I would think about killing, but I am really against murder. But if I would lose all my morals, it would be up there on the list of things to kill for.
Happy Holidays! (I.E. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannuka, Happy Kwanzaa)
Fantastic idea, and way to support recycling your old phones!
The phone looks beautiful, what a great present for any lucky winner.
Kimberlee

Merry Christmas, Indeed!
I don’t really want to win, I just want to decrease everyone else’s chances of winning. My camera just broke so I’m in a particularly nasty mood right now. Apologies to everyone who loses…
Nice phone!
Long live MaxRoam
Looking for more free stuff
Happy Christmas, Pat
Did I miss the day?
a beery merry xmas to you, pat!
Hi Pat! Thanks for the giveaway
You’re like the Santa Claus of the telecoms industry! Great idea!
Now that is something that would put a smile on the face of any grinch!

Merry Christmas, Dude!
Free is good. Found via Mulley
Already donated at school
Merry Christmas!
Including myself to the incredibly long list
400?! thought they said it would be more affordable than the E71…
I too like free phones. *cough* entered a couple of work related ones *cough* lol
166 comments, I like my odds, better than the lotto
If I win this one I’ll give my old one to jack and jill, though it’s 2+ years old, the battery has just started to go. great phone though
Wow, great response to the comp, looks like J&J have a fair few phones comingbtheir way, nice one Pat. Have a great Christmas!
Great idea Pat. I’ve donated my phones several times.
There’s nothing like it down here in NZ, Pat, but well done mate! I love seeing the Christmas spirit all around
Pat, can I safely hang it around my neck? Does it have a little anchor point for a halter?
Great idea. although looking at this list of comments, i’ve more chance with a lottery ticket!
Merry Christmas and thanks for the chance.
Yes, please.
Ok, I’m on the nice list I think but I can’t count on it. Pick me!
Wondering what will emerge from this random-ness
Saw the plug on mulley.net, and thought that I’d join the masses!
Cheers Tim
Season Greetings from Austria, everyone! Awesome idea!
I’ve only just got my first ever phone, but I like the idea of giving it away.
I woke up this morning dreaming of the “Jack and Pat Foundation.” It has a mobile phone ring to it.
Best Holiday Wishes!!
err, am I too late to enter the draw for the phone?
Happy Christmas Pat!
After winning the TC Twitterfone comment contest… I’m feeling lucky!!!!
Happy christmas
Hey Pat count me in…happy Christmas!
Ciaran.
I have about six squillion phones I must hand in to that appeal…
Merry Christmas Pat from commenter 196!
Wired were raving about this phone in their November issue, I’m probably going to get it’s younger brother – the E51, for myself but of course If I’m lucky enough to be random enough to win this sexy beast then I won’t have to! Merry Christmas all the same Pat and I’ll definitely chuck my old nokia in a Jack and Jill bin whatever the outcome.
Merry Christmas to you Pat!
Hey, this is a brilliant idea! I’m gonna see about donating my old phones to Jack and Jill now.
Great idea Pat, Happy Christmas! Judging by the number of comments alone I’d say this post has greatly raised awareness of the J&J foundation. Our office collects and sends phones to them regularly.
Great idea to highlight a great cause. At the rate we go through mobile phones in Ireland there should be loads hanging around our houses or work places. I recently gave two to Jack and Jill foundation, these were sitting in the drawer gathering dust. I am very happy they are gone to a good home. Happy Christmas – a time to think of others instead of just thinking of ourselves!
I donated a couple of phones to the Jack & Jill thing a while back. great way to recycle them…
Merry Xmas!
Great message, and pretty looking phones – count me in too please. Merry Christmas.
Perhaps a brand new phone
could potentially make me drop
The brick I hold so dear.
I’ll give it to Jack and Jill.
;o)
Alrite Pat,
Nice idea you got there and truth be told I’m a fan of Jack n Jill. I likes the phone but I draws a line at begging.
Have a nifty Christmas,
Ness
Free stuff works
My wife put a jar of hot chocolate through her Sony Ericsson this morning, I would would she like a Nokia?
keith
Fair play Pat!
** Fingers Crossed **
That’s damn decent of you, Pat. I has to be better than the Nokia N95 I’m currently using.
i love free phones!
Ho ho ho?
Nice!
