Happy Christmas, win a Nokia E63

To celebrate Christmas this year I have sent out the begging bowl to a numbers of friends in the industry and have come up with a bunch of goodies, I am going to give stuff away most days.
Today its the fantastic Nokia E63
Nokia E63
There are lots of reviews around but I love it, this phone is not even released everywhere yet and is valued around €400, its completely unlocked and will work on any network.
So what do I want?
Nothing, Nada, just leave a comment and I will have an independent friend run all comments through a randomizer, one the commentors will get the phone.
The winner is Niall Harbison of ifoods.tv
Comments are now closed. enjoy Niall
Please though if you have a bunch of phones hanging around why not donate them to the Jack & Jill foundation, they do amazing work and everyone has a bunch of old phones somewhere.

Nice idea and a good way to plug the Jack and Jill phone appeal. We’re sending them all the old phones we had in the office (packet is sitting on desk in office!)

Wonderful idea Pat, at the very least because i will now be able to ditch the terrible n95 8gb keypad for a proper one!

    Yes, great idea Pat!

J&J often have prepaid plastic envelopes in the Sunday papers too, to make it even easier to return and recycle your old handsets …

Great idea, and it’s reminded me I’ve definitely got at least a couple of old phones laying around…so old I suspect they’d raise a good price on the Antiques Roadshow - will have to check out if there’s an age-limit on donations!

I don’t really want to win, I just want to decrease everyone else’s chances of winning. My camera just broke so I’m in a particularly nasty mood right now. Apologies to everyone who loses…

  188. Posted by Bernie Goldbach 14th December, 2008 at 10:59 am

I woke up this morning dreaming of the “Jack and Pat Foundation.” It has a mobile phone ring to it.

Merry Christmas Pat from commenter 196!

  197. Posted by Zaniac 14th December, 2008 at 12:07 pm

Wired were raving about this phone in their November issue, I’m probably going to get it’s younger brother - the E51, for myself but of course If I’m lucky enough to be random enough to win this sexy beast then I won’t have to! Merry Christmas all the same Pat and I’ll definitely chuck my old nokia in a Jack and Jill bin whatever the outcome.

  198. Posted by Sam 14th December, 2008 at 12:09 pm

    Merry Christmas to you Pat!

  199. Posted by Niall 14th December, 2008 at 12:09 pm

Hey, this is a brilliant idea! I’m gonna see about donating my old phones to Jack and Jill now.

  200. Posted by Joe Lennon 14th December, 2008 at 12:10 pm

Great idea Pat, Happy Christmas! Judging by the number of comments alone I’d say this post has greatly raised awareness of the J&J foundation. Our office collects and sends phones to them regularly.

  201. Posted by Mark Cahill 14th December, 2008 at 12:14 pm

Great idea to highlight a great cause. At the rate we go through mobile phones in Ireland there should be loads hanging around our houses or work places. I recently gave two to Jack and Jill foundation, these were sitting in the drawer gathering dust. I am very happy they are gone to a good home. Happy Christmas - a time to think of others instead of just thinking of ourselves!

  202. Posted by Justin Mason 14th December, 2008 at 12:15 pm

I donated a couple of phones to the Jack & Jill thing a while back. great way to recycle them…

  205. Posted by Paul Anthony 14th December, 2008 at 12:53 pm

    Perhaps a brand new phone
    could potentially make me drop
The brick I hold so dear.
I’ll give it to Jack and Jill.

    ;o)

  206. Posted by Nessa 14th December, 2008 at 12:55 pm

    Alrite Pat,
Nice idea you got there and truth be told I’m a fan of Jack n Jill. I likes the phone but I draws a line at begging.
    Have a nifty Christmas,
    Ness
