Has iPhone Peaked?
My timing was a little out but it now looks like Android is starting to match iPhone for browsing stats.
Android has jumped 22% in the last year and with over 50 Android handsets being released these year it looks like its definitely going to be the year of the Android.
I will definitely stake my case on Android overtaking the iPhone in final qtr of 2010.
“The top five Android devices worldwide in terms of traffic to the Admob network from February 2009 to February 2010 were the Motorola Droid, HTC Dream, HTC Hero, HTC Magic, and the Motorola CLIQ” , with stats like these it looks like the second winner here is Motorola with two handsets figuring very strongly in these statistics.

google needs to get on top of
- the OS forks / multiple versions
- the awful marketplace. android needs real apps.
- some kind of media manager ala itunes.
I’ve now got a nexus one with the HTC desire ROM alpha
very very impressive (vs iphone) as a phone, camera, gps and social net browser.
got battery life under control
think apple will need to fix the iphone front page.
Hi Pat, nice blog. There even using android in Korea now. How much can I buy the nexus phone or android for in Ireland?
