Malta gets Euro, mobile users get screwed over.

Congratulations to the Maltese and welcome to The Euro
You better get used to price increase but this one takes the biscuit.
The two leading mobile service providers GO and Vodafone used to charge Lm0.02c for every SMS sent. But as Malta converted to Euro last Tuesday, the two companies converted the price of a text message to €0.05. This figure was calculated in line with the national Euro changeover regulations, and technically, is not illegal but nevertheless is disgraceful.

The change to the euro is a great way to start ripping people off. How many years have we been using the Euro here and I still have no idea how much somethings cost, especially when it comes to food. I remember with the pound I always knew how stuff such as how much a coke and a mars would cost. I bet if you asked people how much you should pay for a few items of food most people wouldn’t have a clue.
