Nearly time to buy an iPhone?

If all goes according to script tomorrow Steve should announce the 3G iPhone.
There are hundreds of rumours flying around and it will be interesting to see how twitter copes tomorrow.
Live coverage is from Slashgear here
Hopefully O2 will come to their senses and give Irish users some decent packages.
If I am to buy one here is the first app I will be begging to get my hands on.

iCall VoIP on the Apple iPhone from Arlo & Andy on Vimeo.

Seamless handover is one of the most difficult applications to perfect on the complex GSM/WIFI bag of tricks with my buddy Pej Roshan over at Agito Networks being one of the few to get it perfect and if iCall does what it says on the tin it will have the number one position on my device.

Did O2 negotiate an exclusive deal back in March? It would make more sense for Vodafone or 3 to get the 3G iPhone since they provide 3G services like video calling but I fear O2 might have the market nailed down for a while.

Also anyone know if the iPhone was a success for O2? I havent exactly seen the streets flooded with them?

Just saw that 11th july is the date for the new 3G iPhone.Mr Jobs has also stated that they will go on sale at a uniform price around the world ie $200 for 8 gigabyte and $300 for the 16 gigabyte…
So that SHOULD BE €127 for the 8GB and €192 for the 16GB on todays Euro/Dollar rate.
Sad to say that MSSS D Gray of O2 will want her cut so what price for the iPhone and of course what rip-off tarrif awaits the new 3G in Ireland.
