Nice few days for MAXroam
We are beginning to get ready for the next series of releases on MAXroam.
Its been a while coming but we now have a global team working on it and its moving rapidly.
This week has been extremely positive though
Today we executed on a series of price reductions. The average savings to our customers are as follows
Cost of an SMS reduced by 10.69%
Cost of calling voicemail reduced by 11.87%
Cost of incoming call reduced by 11.87%
Cost of outgoing call to a landline reduced by 11.67%
Cost of outgoing call to a cell reduced by 12.00%
We have also had an extremely positive review from Salim Ismail one the industry’s top guys and founder of Confabb amongst others.
it@cork also gave us some great coverage including 3 national newspaper pieces.

This was published this week and I love the picture, three of my favourite things front and centre on my laptop, WordPress, LeWeb and MAXroam.

Great news! Well done to you and the team – no wonder you haven’t had a holiday in months and are on three hours sleep a night…too much work to be done!
Excellent photo, too – one for the wall of fame, eh?
And, ahem, that last picture is by Gerard McCarthy and subsequently photographed by me in the Evening Echo on Tuesday, and blogged..
Great news and congratulations!
Great news Pat.
I’ve noticed the lines have become extremely reliable as of late too.
Maxroam Data Cards – would be the best baby brother for Max after reading about that lady who got a 15k bill for roaming on Vodafone. Just a thought. Its gotta be diffcult coming up with idea’s to make Maxroam better after this latest upgrade?
Hey,
I’ve asked the same questions through the MAXroam site, but seeing as I’m subscribed to your blog I’m going to ask here as well.
I’ve been trying to decide if this product would be good for me while I do a RTW trip. But I’m not fully convinced it would be of benefit. Is this the kind of market that you are looking for or is it solely business travellers.
It would be great to hear you opinion on this, preferably by email. The itinerary of my trip is here (http://globetravel.blogspot.com/2008/06/rtw.html) although not complete.
I’m left a little confused to what all the numbers involved are?
So I pick a Maxroam number when I get my SIM and add my numbers to it? (so I’d add my local Irish mobile to it and then any number local sim I might pick up abroad?) So depending on my phone provider I may be charged divert charges on top of crediting my Maxroam account?
I’ve read about a MAxroam phone in the works – is that idea gone?
Also is the monthly fixed charge idea gone as well?
Thanks for your time
