Palm in O2′s hand
Palm have all but confirmed that they have entered into an agreement with 02 for exclusive distribution of their much praised Pre.
From pretty limited sources it appears that the Pre has sold 300,000 units in its first month in the USA, this is quite successful especially in a market where the Iphone has been an enormous success.
The Palm will be a huge hit in Europe in my opinion but its really quite surprising to see O2 going for a second premium device and you would think that Apple may not be the happiest at this development.
Hopefully this news will force Vodafone to start pushing the Android based machines, I for one cannot wait to get my hands on “The Hero”

I would love to get my hands on a GSM Pre. Can’t wait to see what you think of it. I liked it so far, the little I’ve played with one.
Will it be a downside for current Palm phone owners who are on Vodafone, like me? I’d think many would want to move up to the Pre as there are still a lot of short comings to the Treo. I’d hope there will be a bigger community of Pre users to get tips from!

That Palm Pre is sweet kit. You can tell the Pre designers know their iPhones inside and out.
