HTC One X rocks
Finally an Android device that breaks my Cupertino addiction.
There are an incredible number of reviews floating around at present with most of them being overwhelmingly positive.
“People will take great photo’s with the One x” Engadget
“HTC has thrown down the gauntlet with its new flagship” Android Community
“There’s a lot to love in the HTC One X” [...]
HulloMail a new type of voicemail for Ireland
It’s not too often that I will go straight out nuts for a product but having been using an early version of HulloMail for months now let me tell you, GO GET THIS. If you receive voicemail this will change your life, no more trying to grab a pen, pressing 7 to reply definitely no more garbled messages [...]
MogoTix, the future of smart Ticketing
I don’t write enough about new products but once in a while something comes along that really has potential and MogoTix is definitely that. A nice piece from Ryan over at Gigaom drew them to my attention and with Dave Slugger McClure behind them the future looks bright.
This is huge market that is in serious need [...]
Apple still blocking Voice over 3G-Good decision
I can’t believe we are back here again in a discussion regarding Apple blocking voice over 3G.
Voice over 3G is an appalling standard, it just doesn’t work without massive compression.
If any iPhone user runs a standard ping test I would be shocked to see ping times of under 100ms, in fact I have just [...]

During interview with All Things Digital’s Kara Swisher at CES Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein said three of the most incredible things I have ever heard, not only in telephony but in business in general.
Q:How does Palm (PALM) view Apple (AAPL)?
“We don’t pay that much attention to Apple….I know it sounds really strange,”
says Rubinstein.
“Really?” [...]
Apple to buy iCall, worrying times for other providers?
Some interesting news floating around regarding Apple and its interest in purchasing iCall a USA VOIP provider.
iCall allows iPhone users when in a hotspot to divert calls off of the GSM network and onto the WiFi network. I have been testing it for a few week now and quality appears to be as good as [...]

HTC Hero, amazing if you finish work at 2pm
My Htc Hero arrived yesterday, we bought it to test with some new MAXroam stuff and I have to say the improvement in Android since the G1 has been amazing.
Menu layout and movement between applications is quick and intuitive and graphics are amazing.
There is only one slight issue, after an overnight charge and 5 hours [...]
Palm in O2′s hand
Palm have all but confirmed that they have entered into an agreement with 02 for exclusive distribution of their much praised Pre.
From pretty limited sources it appears that the Pre has sold 300,000 units in its first month in the USA, this is quite successful especially in a market where the Iphone has been an [...]
