Truphone anywhere for Blackberry

Today was a great day for Blackberry, Firstly qik got out their Blackberry app which is covered extensively elsewhere and works perfectly for me.
This morning Truphone got me over a copy of the new truphone call anywhere for Blackberry, unfortunately I was unable to write about it earlier due to teething problems but my buddy Om got there which makes me happy.
I had huge problems with connecting due to Vodafone Ireland’s archaic tunneling system on their Vodafone live data system, eventually between Katie and Duncan at Truphone they got it going.
As Om suggest there are a number of issues especially the multi platform thing which now means that I have three accounts, one for iPhone, one for Nokia and one for Blackberry, I had a chat with James and can understand why they have to do it but its still a pain point.
This is not a VOIP application though, it uses truphone anywaywhere only which is a re-direct, its dials a local in country number and truphone handles the long distance part of the call, it does not route the calls over wifi so every call costs minimum a local call then you pay Truphone their long distance charges unlike their fantastic iPhone client.
Its an excellent application but I am looking forward to the day when it routes over internet elimanating the local leg.
