Virgin launch Europe’s 1st unlimited mobile plan

At last a move in Europe for Mobile
Virgin France have taken the lead and launched a voice/data/sms plan.
The fully unlimited option, including calls, SMS, internet up to 500 MB, e-mail and Messenger. It costs EUR 89 per month with no contract or handset.
Although it seems all is not well according to Novelobs
Virgin is an MVNO and its supplier Orange Telecom have just announced they are not renewing their exclusivity contract with Virgin. Virgin has been trying to bid for a 4G license in France but apparently they are giving up because of their cash position. This move might bring them the necessary 250M € needed for the bid.
Hopefully with Virgin breaking the mold we are going to see more of this closer to home.

Interesting idea, but way too expensive.
Considering I’m used to paying nothing (well, top-up of 20€ a month) and I get 50MB a day for 99c, that price would need to be halved to get someone like me to consider jumping ship.
However, targeting an older generation (like the kinda folks who don’t complain about O2 price plans) or who find “unlimited 500MB” overkill, then this could do well.
Enda
I am paying €300 a month
your are not comparing Apples to Apples. I presume your €20 a month is for same network calls?
Not everyone I call is on the same network as me.
I hope to see an unlimited plan for roamers one day. We will take them down in 48 hours
Thanks for the credit buddy.
