Why Techcrunch 50 must go global
As a finalist last year and a huge supporter of techcrunch50 I wanted to give Mike, Jason and Heather a few thoughts.
Firstly great idea to clash with DEMO, kill your opposition.
Second great idea to move, The Palace just wasn’t suitable.
Now for the final touch
No seriously guys, you need to hit the road, Ireland, UK, Europe, Israel, run a series of qualifying events, get a company from each country to sponsor the local winners travel and accommodation to the event. I will kick it off by agreeing that MAXroam will sponsor the Irish winner and the heat.
I seriously think this would really turn the event global guys and I just cant wait to see Mike in his Simon Cowell role.

Absolutely brilliant idea Pat, particularly with both TC UK and TC France over this side of the pond.
TC40 was a fantastic experience. If an Irish start-up can get on the stage this year and own the audience the way Cubic did at TC40, there’ll be no stopping them!
Bloody brilliant idea Pat!
Brilliant idea.
There are many bright companies in Europe that would deserve to play on a more level ground with US-based ones.

Couldn’t agree more Pat.
I will take care (sponsor) the wifi if it goes ahead.
Very cool Evert, well done
Just need a comment from Mike, Jason or Heather now
Awesome idea!I ld love to see such a conference in Europe!
bring it to dublin, we break all the best events this side of the pond
you going to techludd later pat?
Awesome idea, Mr Phelan! I think I’d hop over from the US for that, you know. Also agree re Mike as Cowell. He’s funny enough to carry it off with ease.
